The University of Melbourne Department of Social Work, the Social Work Association of Graduate Students (SWAGS) & the Social Work Alumni Association (UMSWAA) are pleased to co-host this year's celebration of World Social Work Day.
World Social Work Day provides an opportunity to connect with your fellow students and alumni, and discuss the 2023 theme - ‘Respecting diversity through joint social action’ .
This theme asks us to consider the ways in which social workers can take powerful actions that lead to inclusive social transformation.
We are pleased to be joined by:
- Matthew Jackman - Founder/Principle Consultant of The Australian Centre for Lived Experience, current Master of Advanced Social Work student & AASW Victorian Board member
- Chloe Span - Social Worker, Family Drug Support, Founding Secretary of Students for Sensible Drug Policy Australia, Board Member of Harm Reduction Australia & UMSWAA Committee member
- Rachel Westgamble - Social Worker, Western Health & UMSWAA Committee member
- Julie Green, current MSW student & SWAGS committee member
